Ural Turbine Works (ROTEC holding) has completed the test bench assembly of the PT-150/160-12,8 steam turbine and has successfully performed shaft turning tests. The Ural Turbine Works’ machine will be delivered to the Krasnodarskaya CHPP, which is the main source of heat and electricity for Krasnodar and Kuban. This is the second of three turbines that UTW is manufacturing to upgrade the Krasnodarskaya plant.
“We’ve been working closely with this customer for several years now. In 2012, we launched a powerful combined steam-gas plant, which employed a UTW turbine. The retrofitting program aimed at renewing almost half of the plant’s capacity was entrusted to Ural Turbine Works. We’ve developed a completely new machine for this large and significant job,” said Mikhail Lifshitz, Chairman of ROTEC JSC’s Board of Directors.
